TERMS OF SALE: CENTURY CARAVANS
Welcome to Century Caravans PTY LTD. By placing an order or purchasing from us, you agree that your transaction is subject to these Terms of Sale. Please read them carefully. Century Caravans may amend these Terms without prior notice.
Century Caravans reserves the right to:
- Amend, update, change, or remove any part of our website or digital brochures.
- Suspend or cease the operation of the website at any time.
1. General Disclaimer
Information provided by Century Caravans is on an “as is” basis. While we strive for perfection, technical inaccuracies or typographical errors may occur. Any advice provided regarding caravan setups, towing capacities, or layouts is a general opinion only and should not be taken as professional engineering or legal advice. Except as required under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), Century Caravans is not liable for any loss suffered as a result of reliance on this information.
2. Product Information & Aesthetic Variations
Caravans are complex, handcrafted products. We strive for accuracy in descriptions and images; however:
- Minor Variations: Changes in upholstery batches, cabinetry finishes, or appliance models may occur due to manufacturing updates or supplier availability.
- Handcrafted Nature: Small cosmetic variations are inherent in the manufacturing of luxury caravans and are not considered defects.
3. Pricing & QLD Registration
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
- Fixed Pricing: Once a deposit is paid, your purchase price is locked. We are not liable for price drops after your order is confirmed, nor will we increase your price due to market fluctuations.
- Registration: Free QLD registration offers (when applicable) require a valid QLD Driver’s Licence or CRN. If ineligible, no cash discount is provided in lieu of registration.
- Documentation: For registration, individuals must provide a wet-signed Form 3518, and organizations must provide Form F5244 before the day of handover.
4. Weight, Payload & Towing Compatibility
Critical Disclaimer: It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure their tow vehicle is legally rated and equipped to tow the caravan’s ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass) and handle the Ball Weight.
- GCM/TBM Compliance: Century Caravans provides tare weights and ATM ratings as a guide. We do not guarantee that your specific vehicle or hitch setup is compatible.
- Loading: The customer is responsible for ensuring the load is distributed safely and remains within legal weight limits (including water tanks and personal gear).
- Returns: Returns or cancellations based on tow vehicle incompatibility or “buyer’s remorse” regarding size will not be accepted.
5. Order Placement & Variations
- Order Confirmation: An order is only “confirmed” once a deposit is cleared and a sales agreement is signed.
- Variations: Any changes to the layout, appliances, or “off-grid” specifications after the initial order will be treated as a new request. This may incur variation fees and extend the lead time.
- Non-Standard Modifications: Custom cabinetry, structural changes, or non-catalog electrical systems require a higher deposit (up to 100% of the mod value). These deposits are strictly non-refundable once work commences.
6. Payment & Finance
- Full Payment: The balance must be paid in full and cleared in our account prior to or on the day of handover. We do not release caravans on “proof of transfer.”
- Late Interest: Overdue amounts accrue interest at 8% per annum, calculated daily.
- Finance: Orders are subject to formal finance approval. If finance is declined, the deposit is generally non-refundable due to the administrative, allocation, and logistics costs incurred.
- Buy Now Pay Later: Services like ZIP Pay are not eligible for promotional discounts or “price-beat” offers.
7. Delivery, Delays & Handover
- Timelines: Estimated delivery dates are estimates only. Century Caravans is not liable for delays caused by shipping congestion, port delays, global component shortages, or weather events.
- The Handover Process: At the time of pickup, a full orientation/handover will be conducted. You (or your agent) must inspect the caravan thoroughly. Once the caravan leaves our premises, it is deemed accepted in good condition.
- Third-Party Transport: If using a transport company, the caravan is deemed “delivered” once it is picked up from our yard. Any transit damage must be claimed through your transport provider.
8. Refunds & Cancellations
- Non-Refundable Deposits: Deposits are non-refundable for change of mind, inability to secure finance, or cancellation after production/stock allocation has begun.
- Major Failures: Refunds will only be processed in accordance with Australian Consumer Law where a major failure is present that cannot be rectified.
9. Limitation of Liability
Century Caravans is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our products. It is the owner’s responsibility to comply with all National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) or TMR regulations regarding oversized loads or specialized towing requirements.
